The Difference Between an Alligator and A Crocodile

Jim had a really good question that was asked long ago:

What is the difference between an alligator and a crocodile?

The side views give us a good picture of what the differences are.  As you can see, the alligator has a smoother snout than the crocodile.  Crocodiles are found all over the world, and alligators are only found in the southeast of the United States and China.  You can always see a crocodile's lower teeth, but you can't always see an alligator's teeth; just when it opens it's mouth.  An alligator is shy of people, but, look out- a crocodile might eat you!

I hope I answered your question Jim.
